Our History
The Domaine
After studying in Languedoc with Christophe Peyrus at Clos Marie, I returned to Rhône Valley to work for five years under one of the greatest and most emblematic winegrowers in the Rhône, Thierry Allemand, the undisputed master of Cornas. Here I learned to work without chemicals, to work in the granite soils of the right bank of the Rhône Valley, and to internalize all the small gestures that contribute to building great wines.
Before meeting Yuka, the Domaine was operated by Clotaire alone. Since 2018, Domaine Yuka & Clotaire Michal has become a collaboration between the two.
